The difference between pulse laser cleaning machine and continuous laser cleaning machine
Laser cleaning molds usually requires the use of pulsed laser cleaners rather than continuous laser cleaners for the following reasons:
The cleaning effect is different: the pulsed laser cleaning machine can generate high-energy short pulses, which can quickly evaporate or peel off the dirt and oxide layer on the surface of the mold, so as to achieve efficient cleaning. The continuous laser cleaning machine produces a continuous beam, its energy is low, and the cleaning effect is not as good as that of the pulse laser cleaning machine.
Safety issues: The continuous laser cleaning machine needs to continuously irradiate the mold surface during the cleaning process, and the radiation time is long, which may cause the temperature of the mold surface to rise, thereby damaging the mold surface or changing its physical properties. The cleaning time of the pulsed laser cleaning machine is very short, and it will hardly have a thermal impact on the surface of the mold.
High maintenance cost: The continuous laser cleaning machine is prone to fatigue and damage after working for a long time. It needs to replace the laser tube and other components, and the maintenance cost is high. The pulsed laser cleaning machine has a long service life and low maintenance costs.
Therefore, in order to obtain a better cleaning effect, ensure the safety of the mold surface and reduce maintenance costs, it is generally recommended to use a pulsed laser cleaning machine to clean the mold.
